Today, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, released the following statement:

"Our nation faces a multitude of cyber threats to our privacy, our economy, and our critical infrastructure.  Central to an effective national response is information sharing legislation, which will essentially crowdsource cybersecurity by encouraging the rapid, nation-wide sharing of threats and solutions between and among the government and the private sector. I am pleased the Senate has joined the House in passing information sharing legislation and I am confident that we will reach an agreement.  The final bill will greatly enhance our cyber security while protecting our privacy and our civil liberties.”
